Malaysia take-home pay calculator, 2026

Monthly pay after EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB, and the income tax for the year, for citizens and foreign workers. Figures from LHDN, EPF and PERKESO for the year of assessment 2026.

12 equal monthly payments in 2026 and no bonus are assumed. Only the compulsory deductions in the LHDN specification (individual, spouse and child reliefs and EPF up to RM4,000) are applied to PCB. The yearly tax also counts SOCSO and EIS up to RM350 and the RM400 rebate.

How this is calculated

What comes off each month

The big number above is the average monthly pay that reaches the bank account in 2026 after four deductions: the employee EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB (the monthly tax deduction). PCB changes slightly from month to month, so the figure uses the PCB for the whole year divided by 12. See the EPF, SOCSO and EIS guide and the PCB guide.

EPF, SOCSO and EIS

EPF: 11% of wages for citizens and permanent residents (employer 13% up to RM5,000, 12% above), 2% each for non-citizens, rounded up to the next ringgit on the wage band. SOCSO and EIS follow PERKESO tables up to a wage ceiling of RM6,000 a month: at the ceiling the employee pays RM29.75 SOCSO, RM44.65 SKBBK and RM11.90 EIS. Foreign workers are not covered by EIS.

PCB and the tax for the year

PCB follows the LHDN 2026 specification: the chargeable income for the year is estimated from this month's pay, looked up in the rate table, and the tax already deducted is subtracted. The tax for the year is the assessment on the full year, from 1% to 30%, after the RM9,000 individual relief, RM4,000 spouse relief, RM2,000 per child, EPF up to RM4,000 and SOCSO and EIS up to RM350.

Not included

Bonuses, reliefs and claims on Form TP1 or TP3 other than those above, zakat, a previous employer in the year, joint assessment, employees aged 60 and over, and foreign workers who elected to contribute to EPF before 1 August 1998. Results can differ from your payslip and tax bill.
