The calculators and guides on this site are general information. They do not take your personal circumstances into account and they do not recommend any financial product. Results are estimates. Your payslip, your assessment from SARS and the figures your employer or SARS give you take priority.

What the calculators leave out

• Bonuses, commission, pay that varies from month to month, and employees paid weekly or fortnightly.
• Retirement fund contributions, the additional medical expenses tax credit, travel allowances, fringe benefits and other deductions.
• Interest, dividends, rental and other income, and the provisional tax that goes with them.
• The employer's Skills Development Levy and the employer's UIF share, which are not taken from your pay.

Accuracy and changes

Rates are taken from official pages and are dated on the Sources and rates page. Laws and rates change, and there can be a delay before the site reflects a change. Rates as at 2 November 2026.

Limit of responsibility

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss that results from using the site. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.
