Disclaimer
General information only
The calculators and guides on this site are general information. They are not tax, legal, employment or financial advice, and they do not take your personal circumstances into account. They do not recommend any financial product. Results are estimates. Your pay stub, employment contract, collective agreement, tax return and the figures your employer or the CRA give you take priority.
What each calculator leaves out
- Take-home pay: Quebec, TD1 claims beyond the basic personal amounts, RRSP and other deductions, dependants, bonuses, retroactive pay, commissions, benefits and pension contributions. Payroll software can differ by a few cents.
- Termination and severance: the common law, contracts and collective agreements (which can give more than the ESA), vacation pay and other wages, tax on the payments, employees outside the ESA, and every province other than Ontario.
Accuracy and changes
Rates are taken from official pages and are dated on the Sources and rates page. Laws and rates change, and there can be a delay before the site reflects a change. Rates as at November 1, 2026.
Limit of responsibility
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss that results from using the site. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.
Where to check
For a decision that matters, check with the Canada Revenue Agency (canada.ca), the Ontario Ministry of Labour (ontario.ca), your employer's payroll team, or a licensed tax professional or lawyer.
