- The CRA pages on CPP and EI could not be opened. The CPP and EI figures are read from the T4127 tables only.
- Annual tax from the T1 return (Schedule 1 and the provincial forms) was not compared. The yearly figures apply the T4127 formula to one year and include the basic personal amounts only.
- Credits other than the basic personal amount (medical, donations and similar), RRSP deductions, Ontario dependant reductions and northern residents deductions are not included.
- T4127 Option 2 (cumulative averaging), and the formulas for bonuses, retroactive pay and commissions, are not included.
- Quebec (QPP, QPIP and Revenu Quebec tax) is not covered.
- Ontario ESA: whether vacation pay is added to termination pay, how the five-year test is measured when notice is added, and the terms of contracts and collective agreements are not settled by the wording of the Act. The calculator follows the wording of the Act and does not apply the common law.
- The ESA figures are the legal minimum. Notice under the common law can be much longer and is not calculated here.
- Termination and severance rules for provinces other than Ontario were not opened.
- Provincial minimum vacation and vacation pay rules are not covered.
- For one Prince Edward Island case, the CRA online payroll calculator differs from the current T4127 table by 16 cents per pay. This site follows the current T4127 table.
- Whether T4127 has been revised again after the 123rd edition was checked only against the CRA list on the check date.
