Privacy policy
This policy explains what Go Home Early UK (the site) collects when you use it, and what it does not. It is written for the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who is responsible
The site is run by the operator of Go Home Early, who decides what is collected and why (the controller). Contact: [email protected].
2. What you enter in a calculator
Amounts, choices and percentages you enter are calculated in your browser only. They are not sent to a server and not stored. There are no accounts or logins, so the site does not ask for your name, date of birth, National Insurance number or phone number.
3. What is collected, and why
- Email you send: if you write to the contact address, the site receives your email address and message. It is used to reply and to fix errors, because you asked (legitimate interests in answering the people who write), and it is deleted once the matter is closed.
- Hosting records: the hosting provider (Cloudflare) can process your IP address, browser details and request time to deliver the pages and keep them secure (legitimate interests in security and reliability).
- Fonts: the site uses the fonts already on your device and does not load fonts from another site.
4. Visit statistics
Visits to each page are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not follow individual visitors. It records aggregate figures such as page address, referrer, country and device type.
To see which calculators are used, a result on screen sends only the calculator's name (for example uk-pay) to this site. The numbers you entered, your IP address and browser details are not sent with it or stored.
5. Advertising and cookies
Where the site shows third-party advertising, it is provided by Google AdSense, which loads Google's advertising script (pagead2.googlesyndication.com). Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads. In the UK those cookies need your consent. You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings and read how Google uses advertising cookies in Google's advertising policy. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the calculators keep working if you do. What you enter in a calculator is not passed to advertisers. The site's own statistics set no cookies.
Visitors in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland are asked first, through Google's consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform). You can consent, not consent, or choose by purpose under Manage options. If you do not consent, the calculators work the same and any ads shown are limited, non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy and cookie settings link on the page, or by deleting this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the message back.
6. Sharing and transfers
The site does not sell personal information. It is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., email may pass through a mail forwarding service, and Google provides advertising. These providers can process data outside the UK under their own terms and safeguards; see their policies.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete an email you sent, object to its use, or ask for it to be restricted, by writing to the contact address. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
