Disclaimer
General information only
The calculators and guides on this site are general information. They do not take your personal circumstances into account and they do not recommend any financial product. Results are estimates. Your payslip and the figures your employer, the KRA, the NSSF or the Social Health Authority give you take priority.
What the calculators leave out
- Allowances, benefits in kind, bonuses, overtime and pay that varies from month to month, and employees paid weekly or daily.
- Insurance relief, pension or mortgage-interest deductions, post-retirement medical fund deductions, disability exemption and non-resident rates.
- The employer's own NSSF and Housing Levy contributions, which are not taken from your pay.
- Other income, a second employer and the filing of a return.
Accuracy and changes
Rates are taken from the pages listed and are dated on the Sources and rates page. Some values could only be read on secondary guides, and the page says which. Laws and rates change, and there can be a delay before the site reflects a change. Rates as at 2 November 2026.
Limit of responsibility
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss that results from using the site. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.
Where to check
For a figure that matters, check with the KRA (kra.go.ke), the agency concerned, your employer's payroll team, or a qualified professional.
