General information only
The calculator and guides on this site are general information and calculations. They do not take your personal circumstances into account and they are not a substitute for your own records. Results are estimates.
What the calculator leaves out
- Pension contributions and other deductions before tax, health insurance relief, rent tax credit, mortgage interest credit, the home carer credit, and age, blind, incapacitated and widowed credits.
- Benefit in kind, bonuses taxed separately, share-based pay, and pay that changes through the year.
- Self-employed income, directors, and the separate PRSI and USC rules that apply to them.
- Emergency tax and week 1 basis, part-year employment, and the way payroll rounds each pay date.
- Budget 2027 measures, which take effect from 2027.
Accuracy and changes
Rates are taken from official pages and are dated on the Sources and rates page. Laws and rates change, and there can be a delay before the site reflects a change. Rates as at 2 November 2026.
Limit of responsibility
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss that results from using the site. Nothing here limits any right you have under Irish or EU consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Where to check
For a decision that matters, check with Revenue (revenue.ie), the Department of Social Protection (gov.ie), your employer's payroll team, or a registered tax practitioner. Your tax credit certificate in myAccount shows the credits and rate band your employer uses.
